"The first time I heard 'Cathain' I felt I had to learn it: it is not a traditional song but it feels like a leaf from an old tree. Ronán Ó Snodaigh who wrote it is from Dubhach Trá (Sandy Mount) a part of Dublin well known to many artists, from poets to painters and musicians. He, like myself, spent time in Australia."

Liam took to performing this song to open recent concerts with Tim Finn and Andy White during their ALT tour. This, its first recording, reveals naked emotion stripped barer by an adventurous interpretation. Liam says,

"I feel proud introducing 'Cathain' as a song written in Dublin. It rings a bell for me and for many others who may now feel we have a song tradition in Dublin in the Irish language."
