Cheekah is 5 feet tall, very into computers and the lead vocal for the new Vengaboys-single Cheekah Bow Bow, to be released in several European countries later this September. With the recruitment of Cheekah, the Vengaboys are the first band ever to have a digital group member. The Vengaboys could do with a little extra help though: they sold over 10 million singles, went platinum in 73 countries and performed in more than 130 different countries in the past year. Besides playing a leading role in the video clip that comes with the new single, Cheekah will take a special place within the band. Singer Kim: "Cheekah's main task will be spicing up our official website, www.vengaboys.com", she explains. "In the near future he will take on the role of host of the site". According to the other band members - Kim, Roy, Denice and Yorick – it is no problem whatsoever that their new colleague is not made of flesh and blood. Roy: "The most people I know, only exist in cyberspace for as far as I am concerned. I only know them from e-mail and stuff like that. To us, Cheekah is no less a real person than Fidel Castro is.
